This exciting and dynamic 2-day course introduces learners to IT architecture definitions, types, processes, guidelines and frameworks. The course focuses on the IT architect role and how it contributes to the success of delivering IT projects. A comprehensive skills and competency framework is discussed to help learners determine architect career levels, architect specializations, education requirements and how to map a career development plan for IT architect role advancements. The IT Architecture Management Life Cycle (AMLC) methodology will be discussed in details to cover the 5 process groups and associated sub-processes of IT Architecture.

IT Architecture Foundation is suitable for anyone working in the IT field requiring more information about IT Architecture best practices & frameworks. Example roles include IT Architect, Solution or Application Architect, System analysts, Developer, Technical Lead, Project Manager, IT Manager / Director, and Service Operations Manager.
There are no mandatory prerequisites. Work experience in the IT field is recommended.
This course prepares participants for the examination leading to AMI’s IT Architecture Management Certificate. A 60-minute, 40 question, multiple-choice exam is scheduled on the last day of the course. A passing mark of 65% is required to receive your certificate.
